Course Overview

Vogue Certificate in Fashion Communication takes place during the Spring term of our academic year. The course provides a learning environment that will introduce you to the fundamentals of fashion communication & industry practice, and the opportunity to develop the knowledge and skills needed to prepare you either for further study in higher education or for employment in fashion or a related sector.

You will study alongside students on the longer two-year BA Fashion Communication & Industry Practice programme, participating in three modules:

You are encouraged to develop your understanding of current and potential future practices within the ever-changing fashion communication, and to consider your potential future role within the fashion communication and associated industries.

Admissions & Entry Criteria

Students must be aged at least 18 years old on 31st August at the start of the academic year in which they intend to join this course. An academic year runs 1st September-31st August annually. For the duration of the academic year, a student is considered to be their academic age for admissions purposes, regardless of when their birthday falls within that academic year.

Entry Requirements

The standard entry requirements for this course are:

  • Aged 18 years or older on the first day of the course

  • A level or an equivalent EU / international qualification or

  • GCSE English and Maths at Grade C (4) or

  • Relevant professional experience

English Language Requirements

For non-UK student and English is not your first language, we recommend you have an Academic IELTS score of 5.5 or be able to use English at this level before commencing your studies.

Application Deadline

The application deadline for the Certificate in Fashion Communication is 9th December, 2022. Applicants are required to submit their application no later than six weeks before the course starts.

It is paramount that students use this opportunity to show imagination, creative thinking, and professional ambitions. Above all, they need to show that they can communicate their ideas and thoughts about fashion in three ways – visually, verbally and in writing.

UK students can pay the tuition fee in instalments over the duration of the course.

Fashion Journalist

Hannah has worked in the fashion industry for more than a decade since obtaining her degree in Fashion Journalism. As well as writing lead fashion features for POP, Glass Magazine, Velour and Emirates Woman, she has also worked in Fashion PR and with luxury brands, creating content for e-commerce websites, social media and press communication.

Other work includes editing travel and music publications, conducting celebrity interviews across fashion and entertainment, and contributing to art and interiors websites. Hannah currently works with brands across the beauty and travel sector, writing SEO-driven content for all digital communications.
